Gujarat: New Year gift to government employees, increase inflation allowance
The first day of the year 2020 has come with good news for state government employees. The Gujarat government has decided to increase the inflation allowance of government employees of the state. The state government has increased the inflation allowance by 5 percent.So now 17 per cent allowance will be paid. Prior to this, the inflation allowance was 12%. The announcement was made by Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel at a press conference.
Nitin Patel said that the government has decided to increase the allowance allowance by 5%. This increase will be implemented from 1st July 2019. January pay will increase. Arrivals will be paid in two to three phases. Due to the increase in allowance, the state government will have a burden of Rs 1821 crore. Announcing about the medical college, Nitin Patel said that a new medical college will be set up in Veraval, Botad and Godhra. 1500 crore has been allocated for the construction of the college.
