SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme 2021
Ministry Of Social Justice And Empowerment is inviting the students belonging to the caste of SC and OBC so that they can provide the new free coaching to them. Under this Free Coaching scheme, around 3000 rupees will be provided to the local students and 6000 rupees will be provided to the students who belong to other cities. Also, 2000 rupees will be provided as an allowance so that the students can stay in the city till the end of the course. This will be a very great opportunity for all of the people who want to get a good education but cannot because of the financial differences that they are facing because of the pandemic or any other situation in their family.

Objective Of SC OBC Free Coaching Scheme
The main objective of launching the new coaching scheme for the students belonging to SC and OBC category is to help them get the education that they deserve. Many of the students are not able to get proper education because they are not financially capable of giving the coaching fees and the academic fees so the Government of India have launched a scheme to help all of the students who are very ambitious in their studies but are lagging behind because of the shortage of money that they have in their homes.

Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria to apply for the coaching scheme:-
  • The students will be selected by the coaching institution based on their academic result
  • The criteria for the academic result will be relaxed for the students of SC and OBC caste
  • Only the students of SC and OBC caste can apply for the scheme
  • The annual family income of the students must not exceed rupees 800000
  • One student can enrol under the scheme for only one time
  • Coaching will be provided for preliminary and main examination.
  • Students can take coaching for preliminary and main examination two times.
  • If the candidate is selected for the interview then he or she can take coaching up to any time.
  • The selected candidate will have to attend all of the classes
  • If the candidate take leave for 15 days then he will be banned from the coaching
Implementation Procedure
The implementation procedure for the free coaching scheme will be undertaken by the following authorities of government:-
  • Central Government/ State Governments/ UT Administrations/ PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies under Central/ State Governments,
  • Universities (both Central and State) including the Deemed Universities and Private Universities recognized by concerned authority; and
  • Registered private institutions/NGOs.
Course For SC OBC Coaching
The students can take coaching for the following courses:-
  • Group A and B examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and the various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs),
  • Group A and B examinations conducted by the State Public Service Commissions,
  • Officers Grade examinations conducted by Banks, Insurance Companies and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs),
  • Premier Entrance Examinations for admission in Engineering such as IIT-JEE & AIEEE, Medical like AIPMT, Professional courses like Management (eg. CAT) and Law (eg. CLAT) and any other such disciplines decided by the Ministry.
  • Eligibility tests/examinations like SAT, GRE, GMAT and TOEFL.
Stipend:
Monthly stipend of Rs. 3000/- per student will be paid for local students for attending
the coaching class.Similarly, Rs.6000/- per student will be paid per month for outstation students.The stipend will be paid till the duration of the course or for one year,whichever is less.The stipend to each student shall be paid directly by the Ministry through DBT.

Special Allowance:
Students with disabilities would also be eligible for Special Allowance of Rs. 2000/- per month towards reader allowance, escort allowance, helper allowance etc. having valid disability certificate (equal to or more than 40% disability). This will be in addition to the stipend mentioned in para 8 ii) above.

Process Of Application:
(i)The scheme will be widely advertised through electronic media etc. giving
summarized information about the Scheme. The applicants shall, after assessing their
eligibility and suitability as per the eligibility conditions of the Scheme, will be required to apply online on this Ministry’s portal, i.e. coaching.dosje.gov.in., along with details of course he/she intends to join.
(ii)The portal will remain open for one month twice a year i.e. during July, 2020 and January, 2020 for receiving applications.
(iii)The applicants will be required to upload their applications alongwith prescribed supporting documents.
(iv) No offline applications will be entertained. Only online applications complete in all respects, shall be considered for assistance.All the incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. However, the rejected candidates will have the option to apply in the subsequent phases of selection.

Selection Of Candidates:
(i) On closure of the application portal, separate merit lists shall be drawn up of
eligible candidates belonging to the SC and OBC categories, and within these categories
for both the levels of competitive exam mentioned in para 4 of the Scheme,by the IT system itself,based on information submitted by the candidates.
(ii) The applications will be scrutinized in the order of merit for ascertaining
eligibility.Those applications not found complete or if the applicants are found
ineligible will be rejected.

Students
Q.1- What is the objective of the Scheme?
Ans.- The objective of the Scheme is to provide coaching of good quality for economically
disadvantaged Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) candidates to
enable them to appear in competitive examinations and succeed in obtaining an
appropriate job in Public/Private Sector.

Q.2- What are the courses for which coaching can be taken under the Scheme.
Ans.- The coaching can be taken for following courses under the Schemei) Group A and B examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC),
the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and the various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs);
ii) Group A and B examinations conducted by the State Public Service Commissions;
iii) Officers’ Grade examinations conducted by Banks, Insurance Companies and Public
Sector Undertakings (PSUs);
iv) Premier Entrance Examinations for admission in (a) Engineering (eg. IIT-JEE), (b)

Q.3- What are the total Number of students which will be assisted in the Scheme and
what is the distribution of slots in the various courses?
Ans.- A total of 2000 students will be assisted in this Mode-2 of the Scheme. 60% of total
available slots (1200 students) shall be allotted to the courses for which qualifying exam is
graduation (Bachelor’s level). 40% of total slots (800 students) shall be for the courses for
which qualifying exam is Class 12.

Q.4- What is the number of students of each category to be assisted in the Scheme?
Ans.- The ratio of SC and OBC students to be coached under the Scheme will be 70:30
(1400 and 600 students respectively). In case of non-availability adequate number of
candidates in a particular category, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment can
relax this ratio.

Q.5- Who is eligible to apply in the Scheme?
Ans.- Only students belonging to SCs and OBCs having total family income from all
sources of Rs.8.00 lakh or less per annum will be eligible for benefits under the Scheme.
However, SC/OBC candidates belonging to a Minority community shall not be eligible
under this scheme and can apply under the similar scheme of Ministry of Minority Affairs.
