What is CTET?
Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is another national level teacher's eligibility test organized and managed by Central Board of Secondary Education. CTET is held twice a year giving maximum number of candidates a chance to begin their career in teaching profession for classes I to VIII. The candidates must satisfy the eligibility criteria to get selected for the selection procedure and this include minimum age 17 years with equivalent secondary or graduate degree (depending on the post applying for) from a recognized institution. CTET is a two-stage examination pattern followed by interview and certification round to complete the selection procedure for teachers in government schools across the country.

CTET Exam Date for 2020 July Exam
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the new exam date the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2020 July exam. As per the notice, CTET 2020 July exam will be conducted on January 31, 2021. Over 30 lakh candidates will appear in the CTET 2020 July exam.

The test will be conducted in twenty languages in 135 cities all over the country. Candidates can choose their exam city preferences from November 7 to 16, 2020. CBSE has also added some new cities in its list of exam centres, namely, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Purnia, Rohtas, Saharsa, Saran, Bhilai/Durg, Bilaspur, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Ludhiana, Ambedkar Nagar, Bijnor, Bulandshehr, Deoria, Gonda, Mainpuri, Pratapgarh, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Uddham Singh Nagar.

The 14th edition of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET)
 which was scheduled to be held on 05-07-2020 (Sunday) in 112 cities all over the country and postponed due to administrative reasons, the said examination will now be held on 31.01.2021 (SUNDAY). To maintain social distance and other safety measures, the said examination will now be conducted in 135 cities. The new examination cities are Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Begusarai, Gopalganj, Purnia, Rohtas, Saharsa, Saran, Bhilai/Durg, Bilaspur, Hazaribagh, Jamshedpur, Ludhiana, Ambedkar Nagar, Bijnor, Bulanshahar, Deoria, Gonda, Mainpuri, Pratapgarh, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Udham Singh Nagar. A list of such identified cities is available on CTET website www.ctet.nic.in . A large number of requests have been received from the candidates for change of option for their examination city as they have shifted their place due to COVID-19.

Keeping in view the difficulty faced by candidates due to COVID-19, the Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to give one time chance to the candidates for corrections in their option of city from which they want to appear in the CTET examination. The candidates who wish to change their examination city can make online corrections from 07.11.2020 to 16.11.2020 upto 11.59 P.M. Every effort will be made to accommodate the candidates in the cities opted by them but if the situation arises, they can be allotted any city other than the four cities opted by the candidates. CBSE CTET 2020: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the examination date of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), which was postponed earlier due to the coronavirus pandemic. The CBSE CTET exam, which was scheduled to be held on July 5, 2020, will now be conducted on January 31, 2021. 

The board has also released the list of 135 cities where the examinations will be conducted on its official website -- ctet.nic.in. The candidates who have already applied for the examination can choose their exam city preferences from November 7 to 16. 

Steps to Download CTET Admit Card 2020

After inserting their valid credentials candidates, will be able to download their CTET July-2020 Admit Card. Follow the mentioned below steps to download the CTET admit card:
  • Step 1: Log on to the official website of CTET 2020 or Click on the mentioned above link.
  • Step 2: Select the link 'CTET 2020 Admit Card'.
  • Step 3: Enter the required credentials i.e. Application Number and Date of Birth / Password.
  • Step 4: Admit card will appear on the computer screen.
  • Step 5: Download the admit card and print two copies of it.

CBSE releases Admit Card for CTET exam 15-20 days before from the date of conduct of the Examination. The admit card for CTET 2020 July exam is expected to be released by fourth week of June 2020. All candidates can download their admit card / hall ticket by clicking on the link given below:

CTET 2020 Results
The declaration of results will be done by CBSE after the examination of CTET is conducted. The Exam result will be declared within 04 (Four) weeks from the date of conduct of the examination. So the will be declared by last week of July 2020.
