About Mindspark:
Educational Initiatives (EI) created Mindspark in 2008 based on the learning assessment research and studies that it had conducted for over a decade. The vision of Mindspark is to use data on student learning gaps and difficulties to create an adaptive learning program that is aware of how students learn and their misconceptions; and to remedy those gaps through questions, activities, games and challenges that are tailored to each individual child. When used in a school environment, Mindspark works in step with the curriculum, and teachers can both control the activation of topics and use the data to understand student progress and learning gaps.

Mindspark is used by about 1,00,000 students in private and government schools in India, the Middle East and beyond. An independent RCT by J-PAL  found, in the words of The Economist,  "the progress made in language and Math by (Mindspark) pupils was greater than in almost any study of education - and for a fraction of the cost of attending a government-run school." Mindspark is currently available for Maths and Language in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.

About EI:
Educational Initiatives (EI) was founded in 2000 to focus on educational research, assessments and technology-enabled personalized learning tools, working towards improving the quality of education in schools, for students, for government systems at scale. Our vision is ‘a world where children everywhere are learning with understanding’. Our mission is to develop and offer products and services based on research in assessment; offerings that will clearly pinpoint what students are learning, give insights into the learning process and provide concrete ways to improve learning.
