Indian Athlete Neeraj Chopra has created history by winning the Gold Medal in Javelin Throw on 7th August 2021. Athletics Federation of India has decided to name 7th August as the Javelin Throw day in honour of Neeraj Chopra. Indian Men’s Hockey team has created history after 41 years by winning the Bronze in Tokyo Olympics. Boxer Lovlina Borgohain has won Bronze Medal in Women’s Welterweight Boxing. Ravi Dahiya and Bajarang Punia also fought t very tough for the Silver Medal in Men’s 57 kg Wrestling and Bronze Medal in Men’s Freestyle 65kg Wrestling respectively.

Ace badminton player PV Sindhu clinches the bronze medal for India after defeating China’s He Bing Jiao 21-13 21-15 in the third-place play-off at Musashino Forest Plaza on 1st August 2021.

Mirabai Chanu wins silver as India gets the first medal at Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Mirabai Chanu won India’s first medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after clinching silver in the women’s 49 kg event on 31st July 2021. This is India’s first silver in weightlifting at the Olympics.

This was the historic win for India as this year India has bagged with overall 7 medals including 1 gold,2 silver and 4 bronze.
