Educational Qualification:
- Trade Apprentice (Fitter): Matric with a 2-year ITI in Fitter trade.
- Trade Apprentice (Electrician): Matric with a 2-year ITI in Electrician trade.
- Trade Apprentice (Electronics Mechanic): Matric with a 2-year ITI in Electronics Mechanic trade.
- Trade Apprentice (Instrument Mechanic): Matric with a 2-year ITI in Instrument Mechanic trade.
- Trade Apprentice (Machinist): Matric with a 2-year ITI in Machinist trade.
- Technician Apprentice (Mechanical): 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Technician Apprentice (Electrical): 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation): 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Technician Apprentice (Civil): 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Technician Apprentice (Electrical & Electronics): 3-year Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Technician Apprentice (Electronics): 3-year Diploma in Electronics Engineering with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Graduate Apprentice (BBA/B.A/B.Com/B.Sc.): Regular full-time Graduate in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Note: Higher qualifications like B.E./MBA/MCA/CA/LLB are not eligible.
Experience:
- Candidates with prior apprenticeship or job experience of 1 year or more are not eligible.
- Age Limit (as on 31-08-2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
- Age relaxation as per rules:
- SC/ST: +5 Years
- OBC (NCL): +3 Years
- PwBD: +10 Years (up to 15 years for SC/ST)
Stipend
- Trade Apprentice: As per Apprenticeship Act (Full amount paid by IOCL).
- Technician & Graduate Apprentice: 50% from BOAT + 50% + ₹2500/month from IOCL.
- Stipend is directly transferred to Aadhaar-seeded DBT-enabled bank accounts.

Selection Process of IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2025 :
1. Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the merit list formed on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in the essential qualification
applicable to the respective trade. There will be NO written test or interview. In case of two or more applicants have secured same marks, the applicant
older in age amongst them( as per DOB in Xth marksheet) shall be considered first. Candidates registered on NAPS/NATS portal, and applying against
the notification shall be considered for selection.
2. The shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and will have to complete Pre-engagement medical fitness tests as per medical
guidelines of the Corporation for being adjudged suitable for engagement.
3. Candidates are advised to ensure that they are medically fit as per Indian Oil’s pre-engagement medical standard. Candidates are advised to go
through the “Guidelines and Criteria for physical Fitness for Pre-Engagement Medical Examination” before they commence the application process. The guidelines are available in the following link: https://www.iocl.com/apprenticeships-> Pre-engagement Medical Format.
- Selection is purely based on merit, calculated from marks obtained in the qualifying exam.
- No written exam or interview.
- Tie-breaker: Candidate with older date of birth will be preferred.
